i have tried the i686, and ix86 disc. i've tried stage1 through stage3. it will always freeze during the first time i compile something. I had rc6 working fine. if no solution by tomorrow, i will need to become another distro's supporter.

I love how you automatically rule out that you could have possibly done something wrong during the installation process and simply point the finger at the Gentoo developers.

Fuck you, and don't let the door hit your stupid self on the way out.

Amen to that!!!

First of all, you can learn alot by expirementing with your system instead of quiting and bashing gentoo just because it does not work for you. There is an answer to your problem, ask more questions...maybe you should try the mailing list and see if there are any solutions to your problem.

Thus, I would like you to stop whining and use your brain to do some problem solving.
