there have been many good posts about how to get things working in gentoo.
maybe we can edit some and make a section for how-to's, where ppl can go and read and follow instructions, rather than seaching through hundreds of posts.
anyone else interested in putting some how-to's together ? |

what are some areas we can write how-to's for?
adding programs to a runlevel
setting up a printer
samba
fluxbox
setup the internet
some helpful commands to use
I dunno.. maybe ppl are content to search through the forum
any suggestions |

| You can check at different sections and see how often questions have been asked, then create HOW-TO of those often questions to cut off.. After that, it's no excuse for people to not check at HOW-TO place nor use search function first before they post anything.. |

This actually sounds a lot like the Documentation forum that we already have, but I certainly agree that we should post more docs there because it's really tedious to search the BB everytime you have a question that you are sure has to have been addressed before. Plus, it would be a great resource for newbies.  _________________ if i never try anything, i never learn anything..
