Hi,
I was running kernel 2.4.19-r9 with a perfectly working scsi-emulation before i decided to jump on to 2.4.20-r2 which completely screwed up my scsi emulation.
This is what is returned by cdrecord -scanbus
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cdrecord 2.01a05 (i686-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2002 Jörg Schilling
cdrecord: No such file or directory. Cannot open '/dev/pg*'. Cannot open SCSI driver.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am passing append="hdc=ide-scsi" in lilo.conf and lsmod shows
sg 27116 0 (unused)
ide-scsi 8912 0
sr_mod 16568 0 (unused)
scsi_mod 60724 3 [sg ide-scsi sr_mod]
however cdrecord -scanbus dev=ATAPI returns
----------------------------------------------------------scsibus0:
0,0,0 0) '_NEC ' 'DVD+RW ND-1100A ' '108B' Removable CD-ROM
------
I want to use scsi-emulation, please help. do i have something out of place.
Thanks |

Allright, i just changed my ATAPI CDROM support as a module instead of building in the kernel. Now cdrecord -scanbus is working allright.
Thanks |
