|
|
If I select http://forums.gentoo.org/search.php?search_id=newposts I can only see the first page, if I select another page, I get "No topics or posts met your search criteria". I had the same problem a very long time ago, and it was fixed by changing a setting in the forums. It had something to do with the range of IP or something, it is probably because I'm behind a firewall.
I can't find the answer I got back then so I can't provide any more information. _________________ Kind regards, enrique

Works fine for me. Search results timeout. How long are you waiting before clicking on page #++, or next? _________________ lolgov. 'cause where we're going, you don't have civil liberties.

I scroll down the page, opening post of intrest in new tabs, so I would say I press next in around 10-20sec. I have searched through old mail backups, but I could not find the mail I got with the solution last time... I can only remember it had something to do with IP addresses. _________________ Kind regards, enrique

If I press next as soon as the page is displayed the same thing happens. _________________ Kind regards, enrique

The problem must be caused by your local network/proxy/firewall etc. _________________ "To have a successful open source project, you need to be at least somewhat successful at getting along with people." -- Daniel Robbins |

Yeah probably. We use a series of parent proxies. But it worked in the past, so is there any chance of it working again? _________________ Kind regards, enrique

damned cookies. You probably have to do this on the proxy end by hardcoding your IP to one proxy. _________________ /etc/portage/package.c{,xx}flags and package.features!

If you tried "view unanswered posts" (forums index page, upper right corner), you'd see a page no. 1, but won't be able to access the following pages - just try. It says "page not found", at least on konqueror.
I wanted to say that long before, but it seems I don't find anything better to kill my time with now |

It works well for me, with firefox and konqueror. What's exactly the problem, you don't see the link or link leads in the wrong place? _________________ Adopt an unanswered post

Funny, it works now
I'm behind a transparent proxy, too. So that might be the cause. Maybe because the cache was clear now. |

| I was having this problem in Firefox. I removed cookies from forums.gentoo.org and that took care of the issue. |
