|
|
Hi All
As my title describes, I've an Ultra1 and I'm in a stage now that I'm trying to boot from a scsi cdrom.
Below is what I get when I do a probe-scsi-all: Code: | /sbus@1f,0/QLGC,isp@0,1000
Checking Target 6
Target 6
Unit 0 Removable CDROM PLEXTOR CD_ROM PX-8XCS 1.03
8 Bit Narrow, Synch, Linked Cmds, SCSI-2 |
I found somewhere how you should do it using an Ultra10:
ok show-disks (type letter of cdrom)
ok nvalias cdrom2 [Ctrl] + [y] which paste the path. Finish with @sd6,0:f if target 6 and an Ultra class machine.
ok reset-all
ok boot cdrom2
However this didn't work for me. I don't know if it is the cdrom, maybe it is not a bootable cdrom player.. ?!?
Is there anyone who as a suggestion?
Thanks in advance
Luca

It took some time before I figured out what the problems was. When I define the nvalias variable I've added @sd6,0:f, but this is wrong. It is sd@6,0:f.
And also, the cdrom I used was not bootable........
So it works now!!!
