I'm running sun-jdk-1.4.2.08 and have not been able to get gallery-remote 1.4.1 started.

Hello...
I, too, am unable to get gallery-remote to work. I get the following: | Code: | cgmd # gallery-remote
/usr/bin/gallery-remote: line 3: java: command not found |
It appears I need a proper command to start java, and then to edit line 3 of the gallery-remote script to evoke that command...
...whatever that means! 
I could use some help...

...at least that has been mentioned elsewhere. I have been unable to find a source for that file, though. My thread about this in the Gallery Forum has only been somewhat helpful regarding this...
Does anyone have additional thoughts?

After a week long struggle with this, I finally have Gallery Remote up and running. Out of curiosity, I simply upgraded to: | Code: | | app-misc/gallery-remote-1.4.1-r3 |
...and, voila, GR started right up!
Thought I'd pass this along to anyone still struggling with that problem...

Still 1.4 though, 1.5 is out, hopefully in portage soon.

I had the same problem and -r3 fixed it too for me.

Look bug report here for 1.5 ebuild.. Don't know if it's worth trying, would have to have a look at the 1.5 changelog..
EDIT: hm, there are quite some changes/bug fixes in v1.5, especially for use with G2. Hope the ebuild will make it to portage soon. |
