How to install "nightly build" software? [solved :

I want to make a bugreport about Thunderbird, through Bugzilla. It is required to check the latest nightly build, and see if it's fixed already.

So I've downloaded this:
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/nightly/latest-trunk/thunderbird-1.6a1.en-US.linux-i686.tar.gz
and after that, I can't find anything about what to do with it! Untar will give me lots of files, but nothing will run, so I'm sure it has to be installed someway, but I have no idea *how*!

Suggestions are welcome!

Download the file. tar -zxvf it. Change your directory into the newly created "thunderbird" directory. Run the executable "thunderbird". Da.

For some reason I had only tried the "thunderbird-bin"..... Which didn't work.
Now it works.
