Inconsistant Console

When i try and load an image with SILO i get the following

boot:gentoo-2.4-smp
loading inistal ramdisk....

Inconsistent Console: input 1, output 0
Program Terminated
{0} ok

I'm tring to install gentoo on a Sunfire V210, and need help.

Are you trying to use LOM/ALOM?
Because you can't, you must use the real serial port for it to work (or a supported fb card).

I'm not sure it's an RJ45 plug labled seriel mangment.

Exactly, that won't work.
Blame Sun, they don't release documentation.
You NEED to use serial A.

Forgive me for my ignorance, but do i need to change setting in openboot to use serial A. The only port i get response from is the port labeled serial management.

Yes, that's very likely, input-device and output-device to ttya i think.
