|
|
hi folks. trouble on the homefront. i am attempting to get wine running and apparently it works. however, the trouble comes while trying to install winetools. after googling all evening i could only find that winetools installs a few files needed for the installer that wine uses for widows apps.
so here it is:
after untar'ing winetools i exit root and type wt2 as normal user. however, during the installation it hangs when trying to disconnect from the wineserver. now it says type wineserver in the console if i suspect a hang but that does no good. being gentoo, i figured that someone else might have encountered this. TIA
p.s. now "wt2" won't even begin the installation. this just keeps gettin more and more insteresting. |

make sure you've killed any extra wine processes sitting around, and also you could try killing the newest process when it hangs - maybe that'll make it continue on (or maybe not, lol) |
