I have some annoying problems with devfs. Some
devices in /dev are created only when I take
certain actions for instance "touch /dev/dsp".
Then devfsd creates /dev/dsp, before that
/dev/dsp doesnt exist. I found out, that this
behavior is considered normal, but some progs
like gnomemeeting cannot find these devices when
I havent caused devfsd to create them.
After a "emerge -u --deep world" now even XFree86
cant find /dev/usbmouse anymore. After a "touch
/dev/usbmouse" it works fine.
What parameters do I have to change in devfsd.conf
that all devices are created at startup? Why doesnt
Gnomemeeting and Xfree86 cause devfsd to create
these devices during lookup?
Thanks for any help!

Regards
Florian
