I know that phpbb is not the most secure mothod to have a forum..but gentoo seems to be doing fine and it's too late for me to go back.
So I have some questions:
How are these forums kept secure and updated so quickly?
Is there a phpBB mod or plugin that would inform me and lock the boards in case phpBB or any reliable news site informs of a phpBB vulnarability? Automatic close down of the boards until an update is applied would be the ideal solution for me as I dont have time to be on the 'net a lot these days. |

A .procmailrc rule could intercept the mail and cause phpbb to be locked. But probably the hardest part is to test this setup. |
