Moved from Installing Gentoo. (PM me if this isn't actually a SPARC machine.) _________________ No-one's more important than the earthworm. |

V240's usually don't have a video card, so setting the font (a console thing) won't work, which is what that error means - it's basically safe to ignore.
If you're trying to get a video card in a v240 be warned, only a handful will work in linux. _________________ Gustavo Zacarias

Hi ppl.

I also have troubles getting my keyboard to work on SunFire V240.
I've video card and USB mice and keyboard.
town2 root # cat /proc/pci | grep VGA
VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon RV100 QY [Radeon 7000/VE] (rev 0).
Non-VGA unclassified device: ALi Corporation M7101 PMU (rev 0).
town2 root # grep -i mouse /var/log/all

The problem is that I dunno how & wich keymap I should load for my native SunFire V240 keyboard. Defaults loaded after installing Gentoo are wrong - all keyboard is mapped wrongly (for example DEL is now F8) and I can't find
any key on a right place. :(
Please help. :)
