SaneTwain and Resolution

Hi all

I have a funny problem with my USB-scanner.

Let me explain: It is a Canon Canoscan N670U, found by sane-find-scanner as product 0x220d.
It is attached to a Gentoo Box which is working as a server - using sane-backends.

When I attach it to my Gentoo Workstation, I can scan using xsane without problems - in all resolutions.

But what I want to do is share the scanner over the network - from the Gentoo Client, this works well again. But I have windows-clients as well that shall use it, with sanetwain installed.

Now, here comes the problem: I can't change the resolution in sanetwain to something else than 50dpi...

I mean, the field is there, I can enter some other values, but they are resetted instantly. Also, setting the resolution directly in the .ini-file does not work - it's just using 50dpi.

I have no clue what to do.

Does someone know this problem and can give some advice?
