I have always installed the latest xine-lib and gxine ebuilds but now there seems to be a problem. Here is what I did (as I usually do) :
I removed :
~/.xine
~/.gxine
I installed :
xine-lib-1_beta9
gxine-0.3.2
Now when I try to start gxine, I get this error :

server: trying to connect to already running instance of gxine (/home/steph/.gxine/socket)...
connect: No such file or directory
bind: No such file or directory |
Has anyone else had this problem, or got it to work??

Emerged those yesterday and got it working wonderfull. |

| do a " mkdir .gxine " in /home/steph and it should work, well it did for me at least. |

Since you managed to get this compiled and I don't, maybe someone knows what to do about this error?

To add to my frustration, this happened with 0.3.1, too. I ended up injecting that one and waited for the next build to miraculously fix it, but it's getting busted all the same. Any ideas? |

Sorry :/ Dunno about that error...
I never had any problems with xine and gxine.
All I do is emerge it and ready to use.
My system is mostly all unstable packages. |
