I had posted about a problem I was having. I then had a more detailed question a week later and instead of adding to the old thread put up an updated one. People replied to that thread and then I added [SOLVED] to the subject of my first post in that thread. A few days later I searched for that topic and it was gone, but my original thread was still there (without the solution to the problem of course because that was in the subsequent thread).
Do the mods delete solved threads? Was my second post considered a duplicate thread even though it was a more detailed post on the same topic? What is the best thing to do when you have a lapse in activity on a thread and want to post more info? If you just add to an old thread does it get moved to the top of the discussion area or does it stay buried?
Thanks. _________________ -SweepingOar |

crons never run
Crons just refuse to run [SOLVED]
They were both in OTG - i moved the first one to Duplicate Threads just now as it was pretty much about the same thing.

Is it this one? You can find posts you've made using the 'View your posts' link on the main page, or by clicking the profile button at the bottom of one of your posts.

No, the only thing we delete is spam and identical posts.

Just post the info in the original topic

Yes, in the forums themselves

Is there a time limit for being able to click on my posts on the forums index page? I was looking for a link someone replied to me with a long time ago and only my recent posts showed up when I clicked. Thanks. _________________ -SweepingOar |

Merged 3 previous posts.
Nothing changed since the last time you asked.
| SweepingOar wrote: | | only my recent posts showed up when I clicked | There are several threads that address this issue. Please see rac's comment for why you can't see all of your posts. You can search manually for them though. _________________ lolgov. 'cause where we're going, you don't have civil liberties.
