hello !
i have a little problem emerging sdl-sound.. seems to me like an evil loop or something

I have the exact same problem, no one on #gentoo has been able to help me figure it out yet so far...

I was removing esound from my system (added -esd to my USE flags in make.conf, did a emerge unmerge esound) and recompiled my libsdl, sdl-image, sdl-gfx, and sdl-mixer
I then tried emerge sdl-sound... and the segfault was gone. it finnished compiling. *shrug* |

Anyway unmerging the esound is just a temporary workaround, semi-solution if you want.
