|

I've just built 2.5.64 kernel in my home directory by make bzImage
then as root make modules and make modules_install, copied bzImage into /boot as bzImage-2564 etc etc
When I select the 2.5.64 kernel via grub the boot fails to load any modules, like agpgart, NVdriver, sound module etc.
If I do modprobe or insmod for these modules I get an error like can't find whatever module /lib/modules/module.dep no such file or directory.
If I try to do a make dep on 2.5.64 it tells me this is no longer necessary, so my /lib/modules/2.5.64 directory doesn't have a modules.dep like my 2.4.19-gentoo-r10 does.
Where have I gone wrong this time? |

What do you want to emerge today?
