Hi,
How would i go about getting gentoo running on a ARM big-endian architecture. More specifically, i have a Intel IXP2400 Network Processor with Xscale CPU which runs in big-endian mode. I have linux kernel 2.6.11 booting fine, and i've cobbled together a simple root filesystem (bash, busybox etc) using crosscompile. As i have a bootstrapped system i can compile stuff natively or cross compile it. I'm bascially thinking i'd like to make a stage 1 tarball, does this sound right?, if so how would i go about this... |

How did you the bootstrap the system??
Did you use the script from gentoo? /usr/portage/scripts/bootstrap.sh ??
If so, how did you get the right architekture?

You might find this useful.
It's a set of build scripts for building a uClibc-based environment, complete with Portage.
