hi!
I've got problems to get my 3Com Wlan card working. I'm using Gentoo 1.4r3 with a 2.4.20 (vanilla) Kernel. I'm using pcmcia-cs 3.2.1.r4 and installed atmeldriver 2.1.1. When i start pcmcia the following messages apear in the syslog:
Quote:

Mar 4 15:53:16 [kernel] Linux PCMCIA Card Services 3.2.1
Mar 4 15:53:16 [kernel] Intel ISA/PCI/CardBus PCIC probe:
Mar 4 15:53:16 [cardmgr] watching 1 sockets
Mar 4 15:53:16 [cardmgr] starting, version is 3.2.1
Mar 4 15:53:16 [kernel] cs: memory probe 0xa0000000-0xa0ffffff: clean.
Mar 4 15:53:16 [cardmgr] socket 0: 3Com 3CRWE62092B Wireless LAN PC Card
Mar 4 15:53:17 [cardmgr] executing: 'modprobe pcmf502r3'
Mar 4 15:53:17 [kernel] pcmf502r3: ATMEL 11Mbps Wireless PCMCIA LAN driver version 4.1.2.31
Mar 4 15:53:18 [cardmgr] get dev info on socket 0 failed: Resource temporarily unavailable

I think its a ressource (irq, port, etc) problem ... i played around with the values in /etc/pcmcia/config.opts - without any success ... i don't know what else i can do ... plz help me!

Hmmm, this can be a lot of different things...

Keep playing with the config.opts, do you have any other cardbus cards in the machine?

Not sure about the pcmf502r3 module, is this the right one?

I'd re-compile your kernel, double check the cardbus settings, and recompile your atmel drivers.
