2. What are your favorite features in it?
3. Any tips and tricks you'd like to share?

1. Reasons include:
- dabbrev: a real must-have. Saves tons of typing
- indenting: smart and customizable
- syntax highlighting
- viper: allows you to enjoy the best of vi's minimalistic key bindings and *emacs' kitchen-sinkness
- desktop
- macros
- ediff
- grep
- dired
- efs/ange-ftp
- source control system integration (even with things like Clearcase)
- w3... no, just kidding
...
2. All of the above, but I rank dabbrev and indenting very high
Obviously, most or all of the above is applicable to Emacs too. |
