I have read and digested many a message on this.
I have a dvd drive as /dev/hdc and a cdrw as /dev/hdd. On a gentoo 1.2 install previously, I had compiled in atapi support and made the scsi emulation as a module.... the normal drill for getting a cd burner running. Passing the correct option to the kernel had the burner recognized as a scsi drive.
Now with a gentoo 1.4rc3, 2.4.20r1 this doesn't work.
I have disabled atapi and have them both in ide-scsi. But... in order to have the dvd work with supermount.... What should fstab looklike? |

Code: | I don't have automount a | t fstab (although I tink I got it builtin)
also...
2.4.20 kernel seems to need hdd=scsi instead of ide-scsi (according to kernel documentation at choosing options)
but that didn't work for me eithe
r
so I went back to 2.4.19 _________________ f
