Dear friends:

I've got a problem with my PCMCIA lan card; summarizing:

When booting from live cd I got to do:

insmod pcmcia_core
insmod pcnet_cs
insmod ds
cardmgr -f

to get the lan card working properly.

I realized all the installation process without problem (well, there was one with the per defect agp support on gentoo kernel sources, but recompiled again and fine). During kernel configuration I ENSURED to mark PCMCIA support.

Well, after rebooting I obtain some error messages:

INIT: Entering runlevel: 3
/lib/modules/2.4.20-gentoo-r1/kernel/drivers/pcmcia/ds.o: init_module: Operation not pemited.
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters. Yoy may find more info...
/lib/modules/2.4.20-gentoo-r1/kernel/drivers/pcmcia/ds.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.20-gentoo-r1/kernel/drivers/pcmcia/ds.o failed.
/lib/modules/2.4.20-gentoo-r1/kernel/drivers/pcmcia/ds.o: insmod ds failed.
Starting pcmcia...
cardmgr[3758]: no pcmcia driver in /proc/devices
* cardmgr failed to start. Make sure that you have PCMCIA modules built or support compiled into the kernel [!!]
* Error: problem starting needed services. "net.eth0" was not started.
* Error: problem starting needed services. "netmount" was not started.

Suggestions??

Thanks in advance!!!!
