Hi,
When I run "emerge kde", do I need to be out of my desktop environment and just in command line or can I run it in a shell in KDE?
Regardless, how do I kill my desktop environment? I tried ctrl-alt-backspace, but it the x server always restarts.
Thanks,
Elton |

You can do it from konsole without problems.
BTW. if you want Xfree down switch to a console with i.e. [CTRL]+[ALT]+[F1] and do
Code: | # /etc/init.d/xdm stop |
