Hi,

i'm trying to merge kdebindings. i recently installed gentoo from 1.1a, stage1.. konqueror is really unstable (as described in other topics) - so i thought i'll use kmozilla for now for displaying HTML... for this, i assume i would need to merge kdebindings... however, it fails for some reason.

here's how "emerge kdebindings" starts:

Code:

>>> emerge kde-base/kdebindings-3.0 to /
>>> md5 ;-) kdebindings-3.0.tar.bz2
>>> Unpacking source...
>>> Unpacking kdebindings-3.0.tar.bz2
>>> Source unpacked.
python
java

/usr/bin/java-config: /dev/stderr: Permission denied
configure: WARNING: If you wanted to set the --build type, don't use --host.
    If a cross compiler is detected then cross compile mode will be used.

and here's how it ends (after compiling everything):

Code:

>>> Completed installing into /var/tmp/portage/kdebindings-3.0/image/

--------------------------- ACCESS VIOLATION SUMMARY ---------------------------
LOG FILE = "/tmp/sandbox-kdebindings-3.0-9109.log"

open_wr:   /dev/stderr
open_wr:   /dev/stderr
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
!!! emerge aborting on  /usr/portage/kde-base/kdebindings/kdebindings-3.0.ebuild .

any thoughts on this?

thanks,

phrak
