After compiling and rebooting everything seemed fine, but on gaming it segfaults immediately. :(
Going back to 2.6.12-rc1-love1.
However nice work.

cheers

I really appreciate your sacrifice to make these patchesets, and would be sad to see you go. However I would also understand if you decided to stop making patchsets. It's your choice to volunteer your time, and I for one thank you for what you've done so far. :D

That means you are thinking about quitting ? It would be very sad indeed. I appreciate your work and I like your patch set a lot, because it perfectly fits my needs. As you might have noticed, I switched from nitro to love. The reason behind this is simple: bleeding edge things and all the genetic stuff. Anyway if you decide to quit I will understand.

Thx for making such a great patchset.

... and this release is splendid. It works flawless for me (with the 7174 NVIDIA driver) and is very fast. An eupdatedb usually takes more than one minute to complete. Now it took only 39s. I'm [/quote]amazed. 8)

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!

Awesome work! I converted from nitro to love-sources (seemed to be stabler and just as fast). The custom Love-Sources menus, nicksched functions and now our choice of cpu scheduler is excellent. Even if you decide to stop working on the patchset you've definitely set a bar to be reached for any successors!

Cheers!

Not on gaming, per se. On Cedega! My Doom 3 runs fine.

[ First of all, another great release from fallow, thanks a lot... ]

did any of you notice weird things with bk-alsa.patch (mm3)?
Here alsamixer didn't recognise properly my audio card (said audigy 1/2 [unknown]), and as result i couldn't get sound from my tv capture card.
Only solution i've found was to reverse patch...

thanks Guys .
I just thinking about what we are doing.
this is not good way . In this patchset is too much of patches from all whole world.
I did real testing of genetic nicksched .
genetic nicksched is a just nicksched in tests.
simpe things ... latency of genetic adaptability is always longer than scheduler , and adaptability is always a step far to it. also the differencies for rating functions are too small . the fluctuations are like random than intelligent.
I can just use base_timeslice=random(range); LOL :) hehe...

placebo effect.

In my mind are : cut many of this patches , cut a genetics , cut a any unstable risky patch , cut a reiser4. hehe :)

I dont know if You will want patchset like this :)

and propably is something wrong with the plugsched and staircase , staircase from it , not working that good as alone . ( If I compiling 2 kernels paraller they are LAGS , on alone staircase not ) .

cheers. :)

But that's the coolest thing about the love-sources: Reiser4, all the Genetic stuff plus a lot of schedulers. If those disappear the love sources will loose their beauty.

BTW: Thanks and great work on love-sources!

I switched to Love for RR4 support, but now, even though I'm reinstalling a fully JFS system, I'd still like to stick with Love because it's been very fast and stable for me, esp compared to Nitro which just stopped working at some point. Please don't give up, perhaps just not do all the cpu schedulers?

Unfortunatly this kernel randomly freezes the computer much like kernel 2.6.11-love2 did. :( Very sad lately with loves stability.

2.6.12-rc1-love1 works fine though.

Please back with reports :) . About love , please express Your opinion here -> https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-2295555.html#2295555 . We can talk about this togheter.

I want a stablility for love , and kick out any unstables and crappies.
Now it is working for some people . but for some not. this is not so good in my opinion :)
