at first i thought it was just the one browser (mozilla) that was having the issue so i dled opera and it does it too.
when a page is done loading, it's still trying to recieve or send information from/to the server. this is a pain in the ass because when i click on a link, the browser rarely loads the link right away and i have to click "stop" so it'll stop the loading then click the link...
anyone else have this problem? if so, did you figure out a resolution?
im using the tulip module for my linksys 10/100 card. the puter boots with dhcp... dunno if that matters.
thanks!

i figured it out...
it only happens i gentoo forum pages. i didnt notice that it was gentoo mainly because it's all ive been surfing the past few days
anyhow, the text menu with the tiny lil icons on the top right corner of each forum page (faq, search, etc.) has a missing image or some such. the icon for "statistics" keeps trying to load each time but never does. opera says "loading image 21/22" and its going at 120 BYTES/second.
every other site loads fine (i pull bout 160kbps/average).
is anyone aware of this problem?
