I wanted to update my system today with "emerge -u world" but after "Calculating world dependencies /" emerge suddenly stops. I checked /var/cache/edb/world and it seems to be fine. Neither an "emerge portage" nor an "emerge rsync" helped. I still can emerge normal packages without a problem.

It simply stops and says nothing? No error messages? _________________ I may not agree with what you say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it. |

joeslack root # emerge -up world
These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Other emerge sync with different server did not work ... _________________ ---

Hi everyone,
it was a bug in a new mod_php-4.3.1 ebuild. Have a look at
https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16734
and download the fixed ebuild, put it in /usr/portage/distfiles/mod_php and you're fine - hopefully |
