|
|
This is weird, and I could have sworn it was working before.
Anyway, I enabled the "filesystem" applet in gkrellm to monitor
my CD-ROM drive. I enabled "/etc/fstab mounting" and "ejectable".
The relevant /etc/fstab line is:
/dev/cdroms/cdrom0 /mnt/cdrom iso9660 users,noauto,ro 0 0
The problem is if I eject the CD-ROM through gkrellm and then
close the tray (also through gkrellm) my system crashes back to
the command prompt! X just closes for no reason!
This happens 100% of the time when the CD-ROM tray is empty.
If I put a disk in the tray then sometimes I won't get a crash and
it will work.
I can open/close the CD-ROM tray to my hearts content by pressing
the eject button on the CD-ROM drive itself.
I hoped I described the problem well enough. Any thoughts?? |
