everything compiled right but i cant see some pictures cant see most webpags like gentoo.org and google.com could someone please help i really liked mozilla but now its not working right . |

Try just re-emerging Mozilla. I'd guess that a lib it depends on updated, and you need to rebuild the dependencies. |

Run mozilla from a terminal (xterm or similar), check the output for missing libraries / errors (libpng or something).

i had a completely working system before i updated (kde3 still works) i tries emerging again but it didnt work. mozilla gives no error messages when launching from a terminal. mozilla can display some pictures i cant see the mozilla start page it just lines but i can see parts of others ( like yahoo ) if anyone has ideas ( i had mozilla 1.0 working before the update ) _________________ linux is life

Shot in the dark -- a lot of folks have had problems with libpng. You say mozilla can display some, but not all pictures. Are the pictures it's unable to display pngs?
might try remerging libpng and see if that helps at all. (like I said, it's kind of a SWAG, though.)
