if i do a rsync after a new release of gentoo.. and then upgrade world, i will got my system upgraded to the new release?
if that is true, why my /etc/gentoo-release shows that:
Code: | Gentoo Base System version 1.4.2.8 |
there is no relation ?
if not... where can i see that i'm upgraded to RC3 (for example) ? |

yes. The version number of the "release" refers only to the "image" release - if you do 'emerge rsync' 'emerge -u world' you'll have the latest version... _________________ My next computer is also a Gentoo computer |
