I was following the desktop configuration howto in gentoo's home page. I wanted to install the webbased email. So i emerged apache, php, mod_php, mod_ssl.
But for some apparent reason php doesn't emerge. i get this error:

By google'ing i found that i should remove the following code from the ebuild:
So i did do that. And now i get another error:

This one i couldn't find help in google.
I just want to install a basic php so that i can use squerral (or what ever that program is called) to access my email from the internet.
Did anyone else have this same error? do you know how to fix it?
