I like this sport in spite of there is no more french teams in Champions league :)
If you like or not, why ?
Do you think that players are paid too much ?
What's the best player at this time in the world ?
Why Raul didn't have yet the golden ball ?

Maybe there is a lot of questions but we have the time to speak about ;)

Speaking as an american I only saw one soccer game really ever and that was when I was in the netherlands (nederlands, les pays-bas). The dutch people I were with actually suggested I not wear the soccer jersey that I had bought because people from the opposing team might pick a fight with me. It was the craziest thing I ever witnessed. I'm not the biggest fan though although, it reminds me alot of hockey, which I love, I guess it's like hockey without the hitting and ice, and alittle slower. If they allowed full body checking, and put in a penalty box it'd be best sport ever.

Although here there are a lot of soccer fans, I might say that I am not that bigger fan ... I like much more to play soccer, than to watch (except for the world cup) ...

And yes, I think the players receive MUCH MORE money than they deserve.

There are a lot of great players in the world right now, but I think that Ronaldo is the best and Robinho (I think he's from Santos F.C.) might become one of the best of the world in a few years from now.[/b]

drop the american sterotypes....i know tons of people that love soccer and will watch any soccer game thats on tv. The problem is that only 1 or 2 games are showed a week...and this is only if you have satellite.

USA did pretty good in the last world cup, its a shame its not a major sport over there. Most Ameircans I know say its for pussys.

My fav player is Paul Scholes (Man Utd).

It's odd, but I never played as much soccer (or football, as you like) as I did when I went to highschool in the US during an exchange programme. After the summer holidays, we played soccer at school, 2 hours per day, 5 days a week, plus games at the weekend, until November, when basketball started. I would say, the potential is definitely there, it just needs to be pushed a little bit more by the media? (just a guess!)

btw: too bad Stuttgart didn't make it against Glasgow

I'm an american and avid soccer fan. I acutually have travelled to Canada and the Netherland to play in tournaments when I was in high school. I only play intermurals in college now, wish I could play more, but I went to college for an education not for sports.
