I was trying to upgrade portage from 2.0.47-r6 to 2.0.47-r7, but I got this error:
blue root # emerge portage -u
Calculating dependencies ...done!
>>> emerge (1 of 1) sys-apps/portage-2.0.47-r7 to /
>>> md5 portage-2.0.47-r7.tar.bz2
>>> Unpacking source...
tar xjf /usr/portage/distfiles/portage-2.0.47-r7.tar.bz2
>>> Source unpacked.
./create-localdecls
Checking truncate argument type... off_t
Checking libc version... libc.so.6
Checking glibc subversion... ./create-localdecls: line 1: expr: command not found
and it just hung there.
I figured maybe glibc was messed up, so I tried emerging that again, and got this error over and over again
<snip>

updating cache ./config.cache

./config.status: line 162: test: -gt: unary operator expected

Any ideas on how to fix this? |
