Hello all, I am a moderatley experienced Linux user, but this is my first Gentoo install. I am building it on a VIA platform for eventual installation into a car as an MP3 jukebox.
The current problem that I am having is that although the halt funstiosn shut everything down really nicely, I would like to hibernate so I can reboot faster.
I have installed the swsusp patch and configured LILO with the suspend partition info. I have used the suspend script here
http://www.darav.de/gentoo/swsusp.html
Problem is that when I run the sw-suspend script it gets as far as
'suspension system call in progress' then resumes
any idea where I should go from here?
FWIW kernel is 2.4.20
Patched with LPP
Compiled with ACPI options (cos otherwise the board does not power power off)
TIA
