I've just upgraded my mobo to an abit nf7-s. I just swapped out the mobo, put in a live cd and chrooted into my existing install to build a new kernel. I am using 2.6.11-rc4-nitro1, and I'm looking in "Device Drivers -->ATA/ATAPI/MFM/RLL support" for nforce chipset drivers. All I see is "AMD and nVidia IDE support", but the help description mentions only the "nVidia nForce" , not nforce2. Is this the correct chipset driver in my case?

This is indeed the correct driver, it works for nForce3 and nForce4 too, AFAIK. Not sure about the new nForce4's which are for Intel P4's (yeah, I know).
