All artwork GPL?

There is a lot of talk of themes and icons and what not. I was just wondering whether to have your artwork on www.gentoo.org it be gpl so others could integrate it in themes and everything. I'm sure this is the case already, I'm just curious as to whether it is official policy.

as far as Icons go, they are allready on gentoo.org, It doesnt say it anywhere but i guess its GPL.

I was just wondering about this myself..

With the icons at least... The tone in the thread was something along the lines of "here is this spiffy icon I made, have fun with it!" so I am sure with them at least its something close to the gpl for the license

I would assume so. I mean, i've been using and modifying things posted on this site in my other posts. As far as my stuff goes, i don't really care what you do with anything i post, and i'm guessing thats the attitude of everyone else's wonderfull posts. I mean, as long as you give credit where credit is due. This is the open source world, the operating system we all (since were in gentoo.org) run on is open source, where we are free to use/modify most of anything that comes with gentoo. I hope i'm not stepping on toes here or assuming too much, but thats just my 2 cents.
