I'm trying to install a version of tinyfugue other than the broken one that has an ebuild.
The make/autoconfig scripts try to find TERMCAP. Is there something that usually sets
the TERMCAP variable? I've been unable to find anything related to this, but it sounds
familiar.

According to the man page (termcap(3), curses(3), terminfo(5)) it is a file/database that tells what capabilities the terminal has.

Other than that, I can't find reference to it by grepping /etc/* or anything else on my working Gentoo system.

Good luck.

Yeah, I'm just not sure where /etc/termcap comes from

Related problem... autoconfig uses csh to evalueate some stuf. Is ccsh supposed to be a replacement for csh? It doesn't seem to work for it.
