I did a seasch in these forums but didn't get any results so here goes..

I recently did an emerge -uD world and all my 3d screwensavers in xscreensavers are gone. Anyone know what happened? I did a search and it appears that the xscreensaver-gl package is gone. Anyone know where it went, and how I can get it back?

Xscreensaver has an opengl use flag. Was that set when you emerged it?

Yes it was emerged with the openGL use flag set. It is set in my make.conf and that was the first thing I checked.

Still have the problem though, strange.

I'm going to re-emerge it right now and I will post back if anything has changed.

Just thought I would mention that I had this problem but solved it by running opengl-update. Somehow the libGL.so link became missing.

Heh, that is probably why I have to keep executing "chmod 777 /dev/nvidia*" on every boot.

Interesting. I just recently had libGL.so die also. Found this out when trying to compile my game. (gcc couldn't find -lGL, but for some reason it did find -lGLU)
Though I keep upgrading to the new ~x86 and ~amd64 versions of xorg, so that probably has something to do with it.
