I'm having trouble finding good tutorials for designer. Where can i find some?
Here are my questions ATM:
Can i embed an xterm?
I'm writing an app that i started as a wizard (it's an installer). Can i modify what the Next button does on the fly? I want to be able to skip steps dependiong on input. Also i want to make it do some stuff when i click it in addition to going to the next page.
How do i modify a control? Do i have to subclass?

Yep, the easiest way to modify the control is as you say, to subclass it. As for embedding an xterm I haven't seen anything like that, but maybe looking at the source for the konsole would give you some ideas.
There are some good guides etc in assistant on Desiger.
