In my Laptop, pcmcia-networkcards get the number in their eth? device-name by the order I plug them in. As I have one wlan-card (which doesn't work, see https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=33335 for details) and one 100Mbit-card, I usually don't use them at once, but sometimes, I do. How can I give them fixed names, that the 100Mbit card *always* gets eth0 and the wlan card gets eth1, even if the other card isn't inserted?
