hi all!
when doing "emerge -u gnomemm" i encountered the following problem:
make[3]: /usr/lib/gtkmm/proc/gtkmmproc: Command not found

i found out, that on my system the path to gtkmmproc is:
/usr/lib/gtkmm-2.0/proc/gtkmmproc

why this? what shall i do to solve the problem?
(Of course i prefer a clean solution without changing any ebuilds ;) )

anyone an idea?

Greets,
stan

Hi,

I was able to just emerge it:
Code:

kutsuya root # emerge gnomemm -vp

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating dependencies ...done!
[ebuild   R  ] gnome-extra/gnomemm-1.2.3-r1
...
kutsuya eclass # emerge -vp gtkmm

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating dependencies ...done!
[ebuild    U ] dev-libs/libsigc++-1.2.2 [1.0.4-r2]
[ebuild    U ] x11-libs/gtkmm-2.2.0 [1.2.9-r2]

It also emerged libsigc++1.0.4-r2 and gtkmm-1.2.9-r2. Now figure where our systems differ. ;)

Hi!
My system has:
gtkmm-2.2.0
libsigc++-1.2.2

Where is your gtkmmproc located? Is it in /usr/lib/gtkmm/proc/gtkmmproc or /usr/lib/gtkmm-2.0/proc/gtkmmproc ?

I don't have gtkmm-2* installed. So gtkmmproc is in /usr/lib/gtkmm/proc/. 'gnomemm' depends on gtkmm-1.2*. emerge should have installed it for you. So check, you might want to emerge gentools.
Code:

# qpkg -s -v gtkmm
x11-libs/gtkmm-1.2.9-r2 *
x11-libs/gtkmm-1.2.9-r1
x11-libs/gtkmm-1.2.9-r2
x11-libs/gtkmm-2.0.2
x11-libs/gtkmm-2.2.0
x11-libs/gtkmm-addons-0.5.3

Hi. :)

Only gtkmm-1.2.9-r2 is a blue color, the rest are yellow. Since gtkmm uses SLOTs it's possible to have them both installed at the same time. That might be part of the problem.

i had a 1.x and 2.x version of gtkmm installed. I just unmerged the the 1.x version.
An emerge -u world downgraded the 2.x Version to 1.x. I don't understand whats going on there, but -> gnomemm is just compiling!!

THANKS A LOT!!!
