Hello,

The first thing I would check is that the kernel has been compiled with SMP support - CONFIG_SMP=y and that the proper processor arch has been selected in /usr/src/linux/.config.

If not you will need to get the kernel sources, config, compile & install.

That is the only thing I have ever had to do on my dualy.

Hope that helps,
Bill

Linux knows there are 4 processors, top doesn't. You could try pressing 'C' in top to see whether it makes a difference.
