Could somebody PM me original/sample rc.conf ?
I was installing mozilla (after successfully installing base system and XFree from source). I run out disk space during compilation and system hanged. After reboot df only gave error message. So I was wrongly thinking about kde & XFree.... I Tried to modify rc.conf and could not save it... => rc.conf gone....
Am I doing something wrong ? How much space is needed for installing from source ? It is an old 2GB harddisk and so far I only installed base system, XFRee, kde and most of mozilla related packages...
After deleting the files from portage/distfiles it looks like this:
test root # df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/hda3 1.8G 1.6G 276M 86% /
tmpfs 2.0M 152K 1.9M 8% /mnt/.init.d
tmpfs 62M 0 62M 0% /dev/shm
Thanks in advance for help !
Tuppu
edit: Maybe I have been using RH too long.... Anyway, I just corrected rc.local to rc.conf from above... |

# XSESSION is a new variable to control what window manager to start
# default with X if run with xdm, startx or xinit. The default behavior
# is to look in /etc/X11/Sessions/ and run the script in matching the

# NOTE: this behaviour is overridden when a ~/.xinitrc or ~/.xsession exists

#
# Gnome - will start gnome-session
# kde-<version> - will start startkde (ex: kde-3.0.2)
# Xsession - will start a terminal and a few other nice apps
#XSESSION=kde-3.1
