Hi folks, I`m a bit of a gentoo n00b at the moment but I`ve previously built 2 successful gentoo 1.0 and 1.2 boxes. However, I've just built my first 1.4_rc2 box, installed KDE, X etc.. even got my USB mouse and GF4 working but...
When I reboot the box I notice hid.o fails to load. After logging in as root I have to do "insmod hid" manually to load it. The mouse works fine. Is this a known problem? |

If you try modprobe hid it says something? _________________ I may not agree with what you say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it. |

aha,
I didn't build the keybdev.o module since I don't have a usb keyboard. HID wants to load it on modprobe. Built it as a module and done a make modules modules_install and wallah. It now works. |
