Hi all,
well, as surely already mentioned anywere else the NFS support isn't included in the ISO images of gentoo. I repeately noticed that I need it to suppress multiple time wasting downloads (/usr/portage/distfiles) wich is really the same for different architectures in my local net.
That's why I request for NFS support on it
Best regards,
Christian Parpart. |

| While NFS may be a good choice in your case, you could probably just set up a caching proxy, which will work with the existing CD. Or, if you're really feeling adventurous, compile an NFS module for the same kernel version (cat /proc/version) and wget it to the local box. Hmmm... maybe a "download more modules off of gentoo.org" script could be useful. |
