aspell won't compile - gcc's fault

Hi guys,

I'm having problems - it all started with kde-3.1 - and to fix that, I tried to recompile arts - but it wouldn't without the old gcc-3.1.1 (using gcc-3.2.1 now). I then tried to recompile aspell and ispell to fix the arts problem - but aspell won't compile (it complains about not finding libstdc++.so in gcc-3.1.1 dir).

I also tried emerging the newest libsigc++ and removing the old 1.0.4 that I had lying around (via emerge prune).

What do I need to recompile to be able to recompile aspell (I also recompiled ncurses-5.3-r1 and that worked fine) ?
