In an attempt to get a leaner, meaner desktop I am trying to emerge skipstone. However I am getting the following error:

I am using the 1.2.1 emerge of Mozilla. Am I missing a dependancy or something? Thanks in advance for any help. |

I actually went to Linuxworld today and lo and behold, I got to meet Daniel, Seemant and Scott (damn, I hope that his name I should have gotten his card), among others.
Needless to say I was flabergasted, but they were very helpful and I enjoyed the experience of meeting them. Very nice people, and the face time and the willingness to help has definitely made me a Gentoo user for life!!!
Seemant explained about them shutting down CVS at muhri.net so I'll take a pass on skipstone for now. Ya gotta love Gentoo!!!

Skipstone is a nice browser. I'm looking forward to the next version. Just found this on muhri.net: Quote: | 2003-01-22
Finally got to update GKrellMs section with some new skins. More to come and hopefully updates to Pronto & SkipStone. |

If anyone is still watching this thread skipstone is working now and it is really, really lightweight (in a good way). I can't even (visually) time how long it took to start.
Great work to the devs!!! |
