KDE3 various issues

Hi,
I noticed two problems with KDE3 builds:
- owner of /tmp/.ICE-unix should be set to root, but even if you do this /tmp is cleaned during next reboot. So /tmp/.ICE-unix should not be deleted when system reboots;
- if I try to create a directory in konqui or on the desktop I get:
"/usr/kde/3/share/templates/.source/emptydir doesn't exist!"
Did anyone else noticed this? is this a KDE or gentoo problem?
- kdvi (kviewshell?) crashes when opening a .dvi file, but works when embedded into konqueror.

I don't know about the rest of your problems, but I can create a folder in konqueror and on my KDE3 desktop with no problems.

The strange thing about the fact that I can't create dirs is that an "emptydir" template file is missing in kde3 sources (instead there are others "*.desktop" templates). Very strange....
Can anyone tell me if there is a:
"/usr/kde/3/share/templates/.source/emptydir"
file in his kde dir?

Just came across this problem. Made a directory called "emptydir" in there and it works...

Any idea about how this could happen? Broken ebuild? I saw some messages while compiling kde3, something like "mkdir /root/.kde: permission denied" and so on. Can it be because of this?

Uh.. and what about the kdvi problem? Did you notice it?
