I get the following err-msg while compiling gcc-3.2.1-r6:
make[3]: *** [java/lang/ClassNotFoundException.lo] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/gcc-3.2.1-r6/work/build/i686-pc-linux-gnu/libjava'
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/gcc-3.2.1-r6/work/build/i686-pc-linux-gnu/libjava'
make[1]: *** [all-target-libjava] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/gcc-3.2.1-r6/work/build'
make: *** [bootstrap-lean] Error 2
!!! ERROR: sys-devel/gcc-3.2.1-r6 failed.
!!! Function src_compile, Line 284, Exitcode 2
!!! (no error message)
Line 284 : BOOT_CFLAGS="${CFLAGS}" STAGE1_CFLAGS="-O" || die
Any way to get rid of this error? |

I suggest you do:
emerge rsync
emerge gcc
There is a new version of gcc in portage, 3.2.2 and I had no problems compiling it. Try that rather than continuing on 3.2.1-r6 which has had it's issues.
