Is it worth it? or will it break a lot of stuff that the r6 release of gcc3.2.1 did. OR, does it fix stuff?

take a look at the changelog. As fair as I can remember, it has bugfixes for the k6(-2) architectures or something like that. If it is not your case, I'd say to wait for the 3.2.2 release.
